About
IYAH MUSIC – Reggae and roots; a spectrum of African-influenced music.

The Iyah Music show began in 1982 at the KUNM Radio Station on the University of New Mexico campus. Established for over 40 years, Iyah Music hails as one of the longest running reggae shows in the nation. “Iyah” comes from the Rastafarian/reggae “I” word meaning brother or sister, with “Iyah Music” bearing the meaning of “the people’s music.” We are excited to be a part of the music, education and diversity of this wonderful radio station. Many thanks and praises to all the listeners past and present for appreciating and supporting this show.
